AMAZING FOOD

Quiet ambience in old town Benicia. Great lunch time buffet. The pork pot stickers were awesome!

Food for one is a serving for three

Ok but not best but better than most.

Sparse on decor, they make up in flavor. Good food, pleasant staff.

I love to come here for my sizzling rice soup. Last night I came in later than usual and even though they were wrapping up they insisted it was okay to stay & they served with the same nice hospitality & quick service. I appreciated it alot! Btw they work hard all day, its nice to push your chairs in and tidy a bit before leaving (I do).

Everytime I go I always love their soup. We always get the B dinner and I highly recommend it.. Or even just the soup on its own.

Great service here and such a friendly staff. Food is perfect and huge serving sizes so you can have take home if you can't finish it all. They will work with you if you are Vegan or have gluten free allergies. Not bad on prices at all. Worth the money.

The food here is good. The buffet is the way to go when it's available, usually for lunch. The atmosphere could use an update.

The owner and her sons are wonderful. Good food, very accommodating. Never a wait. Warm, casual environment. Highly recommend.

Not surprisingly, Szechwan House has some really great Szechwan chicken. The service was quick and they were very friendly.

The food last night was so disappointing. We should have known things had changed when, at 6pm on a Saturday, there was only one couple in the restaurant. We placed our “to go” order, and when we got home to eat, the food was so bland, very little flavor, and the fried rice was horribly dry. This used to be a wonderful restaurant, but unfortunately it looks like it has changed significantly. We bought enough for two nights of dinner ($58!), but agree that there’s no way we are going to have the leftovers tonight. So sorry to see it have gone down hill so much.

Quick service by a very friendly staff. Ordered a variety of food and all was great. Large portions provide for leftovers.

Terrible sweet-and-sour pork disgustingly tough like beef jerky. Fried rice was subpar if you want to waste your money go to this place. Called to tell them their food was not good, the lady reacted like she had many calls complaining and was well prepared on what she was going to say. And then she said that she had no one else call and complain but us, save your money you’ll get better food at panda! By the way I’m not going to go back there again this is the third time and it’s over.

AWESOME AFTERNOON BUFFET MMMM

During pandemic, the pickup service is a definite 5 stars. The food was great and the fortune cookies were in abundance. They got the order exactly right and got it to me right at scheduled pickup time. So, trot to hot-food-to-go. Later, eat in dining area, so impressive. They also have an overflow area that is so contrasting (you feel like it's the 1950's on that side).

This place is the best Chinese food in Benicia. I have been coming since I was a little kid, and the food has always remained just as amazing. Same ownership since opening, this place is a classic. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I recommend the general tsao crispy chicken. I'm sure you will enjoy this gem too.

Buffet was excellent. I will return and I recommend to anyone who enjoys Chinese food.

Best Chinese food I have ever had hands down! Drive from Antioch to Benicia just to get their delicious cream cheese wontons and other great selections!

I ordered broccoli and beef with chow mein lunch $10. Didn't check it till home. Very little chow mein (food) overall. Next I'll say check and say something. Not cool

I really enjoy this place. The atmosphere is great and it is a nice place for families and big groups of friends. They have a very good takeout service as well. The staff are also welcoming and kind. This is a great place to indulge on a chinese food craving.

They over cooked the Salted Pepper Chicken Wings. And it had no flavor.

I like the buffet lunch special (it's all you can eat)...there's a nice variety to choose from, including fried rice or pork chow mien, spring rolls and chicken wings and pot stickers and fried wonton and then about 8 different entrees from pork, beef and even shrimp. They're good about keeping the food fresh when something runs out they fill it quickly.

Really good Chinese food. Had the B dinner with pot stickers, sizzling rice soup. House fried rice sweet and sour pork and general tsar chicken. Great meal.

Came here out of town, hungry and ready to eat but the food was disappointing. The service was good the staff friendly. The foil wrap chicked was over cooked, it had a burnt after taste (see pictures), the worst I ever ate. The shrimp fired rice was bland. I ate without complaining because I was family. I trust my relative to know the local good restaurants, she does not. Luckily, she paid for this filth of a meal. 🤮

I have been coming here ever since I was little, and that's 20+ yrs ago!! I LOVE this place!!!

The food was well prepared and delivered with amazing speed. I would highly recommend the Szechuan House!
